DP World’s Unifeeder, part of DP World’s Marine Services, announced the launch of a new fortnightly direct serviceat the Mundra terminal establishing a direct connectivity from Mundra to Maputo and Jebel Ali which gives easier access to key markets between Southern Africa and the Middle East via Maputo.
This new service will help reduce the congestion and challenges faced by the supply chain sectors in Southern Africa by providing lower transit time, easy access and enhanced connectivity with major Middle East, and Indian Subcontinent ports via Jebel Ali thereby improving lead time and reducing cost.
The new fortnightly interconnected service commenced on 7th May 2022, with the maiden call of vessel “OCEANA” at DP World Mundra.
The fortnightly MJI will have the shortest transit time of 15 days from Mundra to Maputo providing great cost benefits to customers. The service port rotation is Mundra – Maputo- Jebel Ali- Mundra. The service consists of two vessels deployed on a 28-day round trip voyage providing faster and reliable routes to more export markets for Indian exporters.
